Hello there, I'm Gertie. I'm an elderly little Chihuahua girl, and while I may be a little older, I have so much love left to give. I'm a sweet, gentle girl who absolutely loves people and I'm also wonderful with other dogs. I'm the kind of little companion who would be perfectly happy curling up beside you and enjoying the simple things in life.

I do have a dental procedure coming up in the next few weeks, because even senior girls like me deserve to have their mouths feeling their best. Once that's taken care of, I'm hoping my next stop will be my forever home.

What I really need now is someone who understands that adopting a senior means making a promise to love me for the rest of my days - however long those days may be. I can't tell you exactly how much time I have left, but I can promise that I'll make every day I have with you count. 

I don't need a perfect home or endless adventures. I just need a soft place to land, someone to love me and a family who will see my age for what it is: just one small part of the little girl I am.

If you have room in your heart for a sweet senior who deserves to spend her remaining days surrounded by love, I would really love to meet you.
