Hi, I’m Ruby. I might be a little older than some of the dogs you scroll past, but I’ve learned something important over the years:

There’s nothing better than loving your people.

And if you choose me, I’ll make you my whole world.

Right now, I’m staying in one of TDHS’ specialized foster homes, and they keep saying things like, “Ruby might actually be the perfect dog.” (I try not to let it go to my head.)

I’m the kind of girl who doesn’t need much to be happy. I’m house trained, kennel trained, know my basic manners and I’m happiest curled up nearby while you go about your day. I’m low energy, easy to live with and fully support afternoons spent lounging on the couch.

I also get along well with other dogs and cats, because honestly… life’s easier when everyone gets along.

What I love most though? People.

I’m not looking for adventure. I’m not looking for excitement.

I’m just looking for my person.
