Hi, I’m Wilbur. I’ll be honest, I’m a little different. I don’t just hand out my love freely. I take my time, I watch, I wait...and I guard my heart carefully. But if you’re patient, if you’re willing to meet me where I am I can promise you something truly special.

I get along with most other dogs, especially the easygoing ones who understand that not everyone needs to be in charge. Cats are fine too, as long as they give me my space. I like to feel safe and a little distance helps me do that.

I know I’ve got a long road ahead, but I’m ready to walk it with someone who won’t rush me, but will help me realize that the world isn't so scary. Every small step of trust I give is a gift and I will repay it with unwavering loyalty and quiet, gentle love. 

I’ll be the perfect walking buddy, the calm presence by your side… and maybe, just maybe, I’ll let you snuggle me on the couch once I know I can trust you.
