Hello, my name is Carinya.

For most of my life, I was simply a dog who lived outside. 

I didn’t have a name. I didn’t have much of an identity. We believe I’m around 12 years old and that I've had multiple litters of puppies. But for a very long time, nobody really knew me.

Then I came to TDHS. I was spayed, caught up on all my vaccines and, for the first time, I started getting the chance to simply be a dog.

Recently, I got to take an even bigger step - I went into a foster home. And that’s where everyone discovered something very important about me...I’m pretty much perfect.

I’m wonderful with dogs, whether they’re big or small. I’m good with cats. I’m fantastic with children. I’m happy to fit into whatever life my family has to offer.  I’m a senior girl and I’m not looking for a complicated life. I’m looking for a soft place to land, a family to call my own and someone who will let me spend my golden years knowing exactly what it feels like to be cherished.

Maybe my greatest adventure is still ahead of me.
