🌸 Sakura Needs Your Help. 🌸

We wish we could tell you exactly what happened to Sakura. We wish we knew how long she was hurting before a kind stranger found her in Schumacher and brought her to us.

What we do know is that when Sakura arrived, she was in terrible shape.

It appeared she had been hit by a car. Her eye had come completely out of its socket. She was anemic and fighting a serious infection. X-rays showed that her jaw was fractured - and further examination confirmed that it wasn't just one fracture, but two separate breaks.

She needed help immediately. So, we said yes. ❤️

The following day, Sakura underwent an emergency eye enucleation with our friends at Millson Veterinary Services. They worked quickly to remove the damaged eye and give Sakura a chance to begin healing.

On Tuesday, Sakura was transported all the way to Capital City Specialty and Emergency Animal Hospital in Ottawa, where she continues to receive supportive care for her severe anemia. A feeding tube was placed because she couldn’t eat on her own and she will require surgery to have her fractured jaw repaired with wires once her bloodwork improves.

She has been through so much.

Sakura's story comes with a very big bill. The cost of her care is expected to reach $15,000. And as we look at Sakura, we can't help but remember Odin.

Many of you remember Odin and the incredible support this community showed him when he needed extensive medical care. You didn't look at the bill and decide it was too much. You didn't look at how complicated his situation was and decide it wasn't worth it.

You rallied. You became Odin's Army. And now, we're asking if you'll become Sakura's Saviours.
