Swiper was found motionless on a sidewalk — weak, dangerously thin, and suffering from a severely embedded collar that had caused deep, painful wounds around his neck and underarm. It was clear he had been struggling for a long time, likely suffering in silence without anyone to help him… until now.

Thanks to the care and dedication of the Timmins & District Humane Society veterinary team, Swiper was rushed into emergency care. His condition was critical, and he has since undergone multiple surgeries and rounds of medication in an effort to close the wounds and relieve his pain.

While he’s showing small signs of progress, his road to recovery is far from over. Our medical staff continues to work tirelessly to find the best treatment options for Swiper, adjusting his care plan to give him every chance at healing.
